William Carver

CUMMINGTON-William H. “Bill” Carver, 89, of Snow Road in Cummington passed away on Monday June 2, 2025. Bill was born in Cummington and resided in town for all 89 years of his life. He married Phyllis Howes, and they spent many happy years together. Bill worked for the Town of Cummington where he spent 25 years and later worked as a Furnace technician before retiring. He was predeceased by his wife Phyllis (Howes) Carver. He leaves his son Robert Carver of Belchertown, two daughters Melanie Sanford of Whately and Angela Costa of Indian Orchard, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren and his brother George Carver of Dalton. Bill was predeceased by four sisters Helen, Ruth, Lillian and Dorothy and one brother Ernest.


A Celebration of Life for Bill will be held at the Pettingill Park Pavilion, 14 Main St., in Cummington Sunday July 13, 2025 beginning at 1:00 P.M.
