WILLIAMSBURG-Victor F. Caputo Jr., 81, of Williamsburg, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday January 11, 2025. Victor was born in Northampton, a son of the late Victor F. and Anna (Giawski) Caputo. He grew up in the Hockanum section of the city and graduated from Smith Vocational & Agricultural High school. He enlisted in the USMC, serving with the1st Battalion of the 4th Marine division. After returning home, Victor married Denise M. St. Onge in 1980, and they settled in Williamsburg to raise their family. He worked as a Medical Assistant at the VA Medical Center in Leeds for many years before retiring. He had previously worked for Tri-City container and Norwood’s Convenience store. Never one to sit still, he worked for many years part time at Auto Parts International here in Northampton. Victor was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Northampton and a member of the former Unico Italian Club. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and especially spending time with his grandchildren. He leaves his devoted wife of 44 years Denise M. (St. Onge) Caputo. His children; Victor F. Caputo III and his wife Luann, Angelina A. (Caputo) Church and her husband, Jonathan Church. His grandchildren; Julia Caputo, Deana Frew Church and Kiarra Church. He leaves his sister, Judith Caputo and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by siblings; Anthony Caputo, Ann Mazeski and Marie Milczarek. There are no calling hours. Burial services with the Catholic Rites of committal and USMC Honors will be held at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam.
