Raymond Gougeon

Raymond Gougeon, 69, passed away unexpectedly on January 10, 2024, at Holyoke Hospital. Raymond was born in Northampton on August 15, 1954, the son of the late Donald and Jeanette (Williams) Gougeon. He was raised in Northampton and attended local schools. He was employed by the City of Northampton Department of Public Works for thirty years, working as a heavy equipment operator. Raymond loved the outdoors and enjoyed spending time hunting and fishing. He spent many happy days fishing in the Connecticut River. He also enjoyed travelling, especially taking cruises to the Bahamas. Raymond is survived by his wife Laurie (Wise) Gougeon of Easthampton, his daughter Tammy of South Hadley, his sons David of Easthampton and Zeb of Chicopee, his stepdaughter Jessica Wise of Florence, and his stepson Josh Wise of Florence, his sisters Rita Mello of Easthampton and Patricia Mizula of Florence and his brother Michael of Easthampton. Raymond was sadly predeceased by his parents and his brother Jack. CALLING HOURS FOR RAYMOND WILL BE HELD ON THURSDAY, JANUARY 25 FROM 9-11 AM AT AHEARN FUNERAL HOME, 783 BRIDGE ROAD IN NORTHAMPTON. FOLLOWING THE CALLING HOURS, RAYMOND WILL BE BURIED IN ST. MARY’S CEMETERY, LEEDS.
