Patricia A. (McDonald) Forrest, 75, of South Main Street in Florence passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 22, at Cooley Dickinson Hospital. Patricia was born in Northampton on August 2, 1948, the daughter of the late Robert and Helen (Orechia) McDonald. A lifelong resident of the city, Patricia was raised in Florence and attended local schools, graduating from Northampton High School. After high school, she furthered her education and became a Licensed Practical Nurse. Patricia was employed as a nurse at the Cooley Dickinson Hospital in Northampton for many years. She married William Forrest Sr. and they resided in Florence, enjoying many years of happiness, family and memories. Patricia was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish in Florence, formerly Annunciation Church. Patricia was predeceased by her beloved husband, William Forest Sr. in 2014. Patricia is survived by her loving son, William Forrest Jr., her brother James and his wife Claire, her nephew Ben and his wife Flo, her brother and sister-in-law Ron and Debbie, and her brother and sister-in-law Betty and Steve. A FUNERAL SERVICE WILL BE HELD AT AHEARN FUNERAL HOME, 783 BRIDGE RD., NORTHAMPTON ON TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 28, 2023 AT 12:00 NOON CALLING HOURS WILL PRECEDE THE SERVICES FROM 10:00 TO 12:00 P.M. Burial of her and William Forrest Sr.’s ashes will immediately follow the services in Bridge Street Cemetery, Northampton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
