Michael A. Coyne, 77, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 28, 2024 at the Elaine Center in Hadley. Michael was born in Philadelphia PA to the late Francis and Mary (Mahar) Coyne. He was raised in Philadelphia and attended local schools. Following graduation, Michael enlisted in the United States Army in 1971. He proudly served his country for nine years during the Vietnam War, one in Vietnam, one in Hawaii and seven in Washington earning the rank of sergeant. Following his time in the military, he returned home to Philadelphia where he worked as a security officer at Villanova University. Michael relocated to Northampton, where he was a resident for many years. He was an active member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish in Northampton. Michael was predeceased by his parents and his brother Eugene Coyne. He is survived by his nephew Brian Coyne of Chicago, his brother and sister in law (Larry and Karen) of Conshohocken PA, his brother Frank of Chesterbrook PA, his brother Chris of New Castle Delaware and his sister Kathleen of Conroe Texas.
