Mary (Ziegler) Kozash

Mary Louise (Zeigler) Kozash, affectionately known as Dee, passed on July 22, 2023, at home after an extended illness with her daughter by her side.
Mary was born January 7,1935 in Northampton, MA, to Carl Charles Zeigler and Catherine Murray (deceased). After graduating from St. Michael's High School in Northampton, Mary took a job at Pro Brush in Florence. Mary then took a job as a purchasing secretary for Cooley Dickinson Hospital, a position she held until her retirement.
Mary had a love of travel and enjoyed many foreign adventures including to countries in Europe.
among them were Ireland, France, and Germany. She always was proud to show her family pictures of
her travels. Mary enjoyed spending time camping at Forest Lake Campground in New Hampshire with
her family and friends.
Her husband Joe predeceased her in February 2019. Mary is survived by her daughter, Teresa, and grandsons, Ryan and his financee Holly of Holyoke, and Michael of Florence who lived with and cared for her.
Teresa would like to acknowledge friends who have touched her life and thank Compassus Hospice of Northampton for the utmost care and compassion they provided day and night during Mary's final days.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, July 29 from 9 am to 10 am at Ahearn Funeral Home, 783 Bridge Road, Northampton, with a religious service in the funeral home at 10:00am with burial immediately following at St. Mary's Cemetery in Northampton.
