She worked at Amherst College for a few years and then transferred to Smith College, as an Assistant to the Dean of Faculty over 20 years before retiring. She received her bachelor’s degree in art history with the Ada Comstock Scholars program while she worked full time and took care of her family. After she retired, she worked as a substitute teacher with the Easthampton public schools for many years and served on the Easthampton School Committee. Mary Ann coached softball as her children grew up. Mary Ann enjoyed being outside, enjoying gardening and playing golf at Pine Grove in the women’s and couples leagues. She was a snowbird for many years, before moving to Port St. Lucie permanently some years ago. She loved spending time with her many dear friends, and they often got together weekly to paint and would display her art at local art shows.
