Mario Rui Paiva, 46, of Easthampton, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at Cooley Dickinson Hospital on Saturday, March 9, 2024. He was born in Sao Miguel, Azores to Jose Carlos Melo and Maria Laura Costa.
Mario was a CDL Driver for TP Equipment for many years and was a dedicated and reliable employee. Everyone enjoyed being around him and he was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
Mario loved to travel, and he especially loved visiting Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. He was an avid Benfica Soccer fan and loved working on cars. Above all else, he loved spending time with his three children and his family. He was a caring father who worked tirelessly to provide for his family and treasured family dinners on Sundays.
Mario will be greatly missed by his wife Sonia Paiva, his three children Christopher, Sara, and Tiago, and his beloved Chihuahua, Buddy. He also leaves behind his sisters Manuela Gordon and husband Jason Gordon, his brother Carlos Paiva and wife Marie Paiva and his sister Maria Paiva and husband Phil Burns and many nephews, nieces, cousins, and godchildren.
CALLING HOURS FOR MARIO WILL BE HELD FRIDAY, MARCH 15, 2024, FROM 9:00A.M TO 10:30A.M AT AHEARN FUNERAL HOME, 783 BRIDGE ROAD, NORTHAMPTON MA WITH A MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL TO FOLLOW AT OUR LADY OF THE HILLS PARISH, HAYDENVILLE.
