Lucy R. Nash-Lasker

Lucy R. Nash-Lasker, 82, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at the
Rockridge Retirement Community surrounded by her loving family. Lucy was born on February
13, 1941, in Quito, Ecuador, the daughter of Louis and Ida (Brenner) Nash, who had fled from
their home in Czechoslovakia at the start of World War II. Lucy and her parents emigrated to
the United States and settled in Bethesda, Maryland. Lucy moved her young family in 1967 to
Massachusetts and settled in the Pioneer Valley. She began a career in real estate, owning her
own real estate company for some time. Later, she worked as a paralegal for local law offices.
Lucy later moved to Florida to enjoy the warmer weather with her husband Martin Lasker. She
returned to Northampton seven years ago to be closer to her family and became a beloved
resident at Rockridge Retirement Community. Lucy was a master cross-stitcher and enjoyed
knitting. She enjoyed participating in the many activities offered at Rockridge. Her family would
like to thank the staff at Rockridge for the love and care they showed Lucy over the past seven
years and the Fresnius Kidney Care Northampton staff for all their support and kindness. Lucy
was predeceased by her parents and her husband Martin Lasker. She is survived by her
beloved children Kim Williams (Jim) of Frederick, MD, Kris Jerz (Paul) of Townshend, VT., and
Doug Wilson (Anita) of Hatfield, MA; her eight adored grandchildren Kaitlynn Blumenthal
(David), Matthew Williams (Caitlin), Mary Loh (Brian), Julie Williams, Seth Jerz (Claudia), Dylan
Jerz, Elizabeth Wilson, Jonathan Wilson, and her three great-grandchildren Kinsey and Kaden
Blumenthal, and Eleanor Williams. Private burial services for Lucy will be held at a later date. In
lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Lucy’s name to Rockridge
Retirement’s L-4 Community, 25 Coles Meadow Rd. Northampton, MA, 01060.
