Linda B. Emerson, 81, formally of Southampton passed away peacefully at the Arbors of Amherst. Linda has spent her life helping others. She was a former supervisor of Hampshire County Home Care, and retired as the Home Base supervisor for Head Start of Northampton, in which she worked for quite some time. She attended Easthampton High School and took several courses at Holyoke Community College.
Linda was member of the Advent Christian Church in Westfield, where she was the junior choir director. Music of all kinds were an important part of her life whether as a Director, taking part in musical productions or singing and dancing at home. She took a special interest in Tango dancing, painting, drawing collecting antiques and riding horses.
Linda is survived by her daughters Carla Spring of Charlemont, Jill Grise and her husband Tom of Conway, her son Jed Duso and his wife Tiffany of San Diego, 4 grandchildren and great grandchildren, her sister Jan Matts and her husband John of Conway, as well as her beloved dog, Kiefer.
The family would like to give a special thank you to all the caring staff at Arbors of Amherst, hospice of Fisher house and Gomes healthcare.

A celebration of Linda’s life will be February 10, 2024, at Ahearn Funeral Home, 783 Bridge Road, Northampton from 9:00am to 10:00am with a funeral home service starting at 10:00am. Burial will be at a later date.
