Judith A Hinton

Judith A. Hinton, 79, of Cummington passed away peacefully on July 18, 2025. She was born June 2, 1946, to the late Raymond and Dorothy (Murphy) Young in Northampton. Judy grew up in Northampton and attended local schools, graduating from Northampton High in 1964. She served as office manager for Teton Builders for over 30 years, obtained her broker’s license and owned Teton Reality, as well as being a Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultant. Judy loved to visit the ocean, especially Gloucester MA, with her friends and family. In her younger years, she enjoyed ice skating and loved painting ceramics with her sister Gail. Judy will be greatly missed by her husband of 47 years Joel Hinton of Cummington, her daughter Bethany Rose of Shutesbury, her son Joshua and his wife Nichole Hinton of Phippsburg ME, and her 3 grandchildren Lukas Hinton, Ajay Hinton, and Jacob Rose. She was predeceased by her beloved sister Gail Lumbis. Calling hours will be held Friday August 1, 2025, from 4:00pm-6:00pm at Ahearn Funeral Home, 783 Bridge Road Northampton. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation.
