GREENFIELD-Jared A. Englehardt, 34, of Greenfield, passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2026, due to complications from Type 1 Diabetes. Jared was born in Northampton, the son of Robert and Susan (Devine) Englehardt. He grew up in Whately, attending and graduating from Pioneer Valley Regional School in Northfield, where his father taught for many years. He furthered his education, graduating from Greenfield Community College with his associate’s degree.
He began his work career, with Yankee Candle in distribution in South Deerfield before joining Heatfab in Turners Falls where he worked for the past ten years as a shipping specialist. Jared was a quiet, caring person who enjoyed being with his friends, and could often be found at the table with fellow gamers, bringing strangers together to become part of his extensive group of friends.
He was predeceased by his beloved maternal grandparents; Norman and Judith (Pelland) Devine and his paternal grandfather, Francis Englehardt. He leaves his loving parents; Robert and Susan (Devine) Englehardt of Whately, his paternal grandmother, Mary (Corbett) Englehardt of Hatfield and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and the extended members of the Englehardt and Devine families. He will be greatly missed by his family and his many dear friends and coworkers, who will remember Jared as a kind soul.
The family will receive friends at AHEARN FUNERAL HOME, 783 Bridge Rd., Northampton on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 from 8:30 to 10:30 A.M. with Religious services at the Funeral Home at 10:45 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s cemetery in Northampton. In lieu of flowers, please honor Jared’s memory through donations to the American Diabetes Association, P. O. Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116.
