HADLEY-Jacques Ben Abbes, 69, of Russell Street in Hadley passed away unexpectedly, Sunday, April 14, 2024 at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. Jacques was born in Saigon, Vietnam, a son of the late Ben Larbi Salah Ben Abbes and Ngoc Hoang Thi Vo. He emigrated to the United States many years ago, settling in the Hadley area. He worked as a Chef for the Miss Saigon restaurant in Amherst since 2009. Jacques was a catholic and communicant of St. Brigid’s Church in Amherst. He is survived by his wife, Ngoc Anh Tran. His son; Vincent Tran and his wife, Nhu Nguyen of Sunderland and his daughter Jacqueline Ben Abbes and her husband Victor Loye. His grandchildren, Benjamin and Scott Tran as well as his extended family in Vietnam and France. CALLING HOURS AT AHEARN FUNERAL HOME, 783 BRIDGE RD., NORTHAMPTON ARE SATURDAY (4/20/24) FROM 3:00 TO 6:00 P.M. RELATIVES AND FRIENDS ARE INVITED TO GATHER DIRECTLY ON MONDAY, (4/22/24) AT 10:00 A.M. AT ST. BRIGIDS CHURCH, 122 NORTH PLEASANT ST., AMHERST TO CELEBRATE A LITURGY OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL. BURIAL WILL FOLLOW IN ST. BRIGIDS CEMETERY, N. MAPLE ST., HADLEY.
