Jacob J.
Brady
Mar 29, 1975 — May 10, 2026
Worthington Rod and Gun Club
Starts at 12:00 pm (Eastern time)
WORTHINGTON- Jacob (Jake) J Brady, 51, of Worthington MA, passed suddenly on May 10, 2026, into the arms of angels, after losing his courageous battle with a brief illness. He leaves behind his loving parents, Maureen and James Kaminski of Old Post Rd., Worthington MA. His beloved brother, Dan Kaminski (Jessy), niece Cienna and nephews Caleb and Chase of Westfield MA. He will be so missed by Auntie “Kath” LaPlante (Ron), his cousins - Joel Stebbins and Rachael LaPlante, Diane Humphrey and Steven Duga and extended family. He will also be missed by a group of lifelong friends from the Hilltowns. He graduated from Wahconah High School in 1993 and attended the UMass Stockbridge School of Agriculture, graduating in 1999 with a degree in Turfgrass Management. Jake had a 25+year career as golf course superintendent at various country clubs throughout Western MA including Berkshire Hills CC, Northampton CC, DonnyBrook CC, and Edgewood GC. Jake’s unwavering commitment, high standards and unique problem-solving skills along with relentless determination showed in his dedication to create the best greenway conditions at each golf course. He was up before dawn to inspect the greens and worked throughout the day to ensure the highest standards were maintained. He took great pride in his work but would often comment that he did not consider himself a proud man. Jake loved nature and spending time outdoors as a youngster in West Cummington - hiking, riding his bike, fishing and as he got older football and snowmobiling became favorites. His ultimate outdoor activity was golf. He was an avid reader and a huge sports fan always watching the Red Sox, NE Patriots, and Boston Celtics. He had a bright mind, quick wit, laughing eyes, and a HUGE heart - always willing to help, never backing down from a challenge or a “good time”. He was a dog lover and champion of his four - legged constant companions (Dre and Lily). They meant the world to him. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to family and friends to overcome whatever obstacles were in their way. We are confident that he was greeted by Dre and Grammie (with a full cookie jar).
There will be a Memorial service on Saturday, August 15, 2026, beginning at 12 Noon at the Worthington Rod and Gun Club 458 Dingle Rd. Worthington MA 01098. All are invited to attend.
Donations in his memory can be made to your favorite animal rescue organization.
