NORTHAMPTON-Francis X. Donohue, 80, formerly of Bridge Rd. and a native of Northampton passed away peacefully on March 14, 2024 at the VA Medical Center in Leeds. Francis, or “Teeny” as family and friends called him was born on April 30, 1943, the only child of Alice Ann Keating. He was baptized at St. Mary’s Church and continued to receive the Sacraments of the Church throughout his life. He was educated in local schools and graduated from the former St. Michaels High School, furthering his education he received his bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Massachusetts. Teeny served in the US Army from 1964 to 1966 with the 581st signal Company, receiving the Vietnam Service Medal and the Vietnam Campaign Medal. He was the longtime Program Manager at Kollmorgen for many years prior to his retirement. He loved following Northampton sports, UMass sport and alumnae and was very fond of his friends at the VA Medical Center. He was a devoted Roman Catholic and offered prayers daily to St. Jude. Teeny leaves his former wife and longtime friend, Marianne (Fisher) Donohue and many fond memories of family and friends. AT OUR LADY OF THE HILLS PARISH, MAIN ST., HAYDENVILLE. Burial of his ashes will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, (Assumption section) Northampton.
