Felix Rodriguez, aged 65, of Springfield, Massachusetts, passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2023. He was born on August 26, 1958, in Gurabo, Puerto Rico, to the late Felix and Isabel Rodriguez.
From a young age, Felix had a passion for fishing, which he cherished throughout his life. His fond memories also included horseback riding in the beautiful landscapes of Puerto Rico. As a young adult, he embarked on a journey of service and honor, joining the US Army during his time in New Jersey. Felix was a man of many talents, with a remarkable skill for cooking and a knack for painting houses. His resourcefulness and ability to fix almost anything earned him respect and admiration from all who knew him.
He is survived by his five children, his daughter Chary Vunic and her husband Eddie Vunic of Florida, along with their two children, his son Felix Rodriguez of Springfield and his three children, as well as his son Alex Rodriguez of Deerfield with his three children, his daughter Mary I Rodriguez of Springfield and her three children, and his son Barney Rodriguez of Holyoke with one child. twelve adoring grandchildren, five siblings, and numerous nieces, and nephews.
Felix is preceded in death by his loving parents, Felix and Isabel, as well as his cherished grandson, Adrial.
Felix will forever hold a special place in the hearts of his family and friends.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, September 21, 2023, from 11:00AM to 12:30PM at Ahearn Funeral Home, located at 783 Bridge Road, Northampton, MA. A Funeral Service will follow at 12:30PM, with a burial to be held at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main Street, Agawam, MA.
