GOSHEN- Deanna Erika Harry “Dee Dee” 18, peacefully went home to the Lord on Sunday, September 22, 2024, at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. Deanna was born on August 18, 2006, to Matthew and Nancy Harry. She was raised in Goshen and attended local schools, graduating from Hampshire Regional High School in 2024. She went on to become a “Golden Bear” freshman at Western New England University in Springfield, where she was pursuing a degree in computer science. Deanna had a quiet demeanor, and was a person of few words, but she had a huge capacity for love. She was very caring and conscientious for everyone around her. She had tremendous love for her family, especially her two sisters, her BFF’s, and her beloved cat Rocky, who was the light of her life. Deanna had a wonderful sense of humor and a great imagination, which she shared with those close to her. She had a passion for video games, with Minecraft being her favorite, and a love of animals. Deanna would always include interesting animal facts in her conversations. Deanna leaves her loving and devoted parents, Matthew W. and Nancy J. Harry of Goshen, her sisters Naomi M. Harry and Rebekak A. Harry, her grandmother Arlene M. Harry, and many aunts and uncles.
Funeral Services for Deanna will be Saturday, November 2, 2024, at the Goshen Congregational Church, 45 Main St., Goshen at 11:00 A.M. The family will receive friends for visitation prior to the service at the church from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. Burial will follow at Goshen Cemetery followed by a celebration of Deanna’s life at 1:00 P.M. at John and Sue Harry, Deanna’s aunt & uncle’s home, 78 West St, Goshen, Ma
Please bring a dish to share at the celebration of life. In honor of Deanna, please wear bright colors to all the services, bright yellow and blue were Deanna’s favorite colors. In honor of Deanna’s love of animals, donations in Deanna’s memory may be made to a charity that benefits animals, such as a local shelter.
Though your words were few, your love of life was evident by the twinkle in your eye and your sense of humor. Know that your physical presence will be missed. Forever will you be in our hearts!
