Cynthia A. Hamel, 60, of Springfield passed away peacefully February 2, 2026 surrounded by her loving family. Cindy was born in Holyoke, MA to Wilfred and Joan (Fiske) Hamel. She grew up in Northampton and went to local schools graduating from Northampton High School. She was a Nurses aid for several years at Linda Manor in Leeds. Cindy loved to listen to music and loved animals, especially her cats. She will be greatly missed by her father Wilfred Hamel of Florence, her two brothers Steven Hamel and Craig Hamel, and her two nieces Kate Hamel and Cassie Cummings. Cindy was predeceased by her mother in 2024 Joan (Fiske) Hamel. Calling hours will be held at Ahearn Funeral Home on Friday, February 13, 2026 from 10:00 a.m to 11:00 a.m with a Funeral Home Service beginning at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Jack Cooper. Burial will follow in Spring Grove Cemetery.
