LEEDS-Carolyn J. (Bevis) LeVay 89, passed away on March 10, 2025. Carol was born in Northfield, MA on August 17, 1935 to Julia (Zavorotny) Bevis and Cedric A. Bevis. Carol grew up in Hinsdale, NH and after high school, came to Northampton and attended the Cooley Dickinson Hospital nursing program. It was there she met her dear friend Shirley Doyle whose husband Ed introduced Carol to Bradley LeVay Sr. whom she married and had 64 wonderful years until his passing in 2019.
Carol worked at Chart Pak in Leeds most of her working years. Once retired, she and her husband enjoyed spending time at their camp at Forest Lake Campground in NH. Carol enjoyed cooking, gardening, knitting, crocheting, and her family.
She was predeceased by her husband, Bradley J. LeVay, Sr., her parents, her siblings Irene Weeks and Cedric (Sandy) Bevis. Carolyn is survived by her son Bradley J. LeVay, Jr., and his wife Roselyn of Leeds, her grandson Bradley J. LeVay, III and his wife Karen, two great grandsons, Connor and Chase of Florence, and several nieces and nephews. The family is especially grateful to Shirley Doyle for her presence and compassion during this challenging time.
Per Carolyn’s wishes, services and burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery will be private.
