WORTHINGTON- Carol Ann (Godek) Wojcik, 82, of Kinnebrook Rd. passed away at home on Sunday, May 11, 2025, after a brief illness. Carol was born in Adams, MA. The daughter of Floyd and Dorothy (Baker) Godek. After she married the love of her life, Walter C. Wojcik, they spent many years building a life of love, happiness, and memories at their home in Worthington. Carol worked for 24 years at Yankee Candle as a candle maker. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, gatherings and keeping her home for her family. She loved gardening and watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren playing sports and following their many games, she was their biggest cheerleader. Carol was a skilled basket weaver and enjoyed caning chairs. Along with her husband she was a former member of the Huntington Lions club. She loved to watch the Red Sox in the evenings. Carol was a communicant and a longtime member of the rosary group at Our Lady of the Hills Church in Haydenville. Her dear husband, Walter C. Wojcik passed away on December 31, 1991. She leaves her devoted children; her four sons, Mark A. of Worthington, Paul A. of Adams, Joseph D. of Belchertown, John P. of Chicopee, four daughters, Linda J. Wojcik of Chicopee, Ann Bellis of Chesterfield, Theresa Pease of Worthington and Katharine Wojcik of Pittsfield, thirteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. She also leaves her brother, David Godek of Corvalis, MT, a nephew and two nieces.
The family will receive close family friends on Saturday, May 17, 2025, from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. at AHEARN FUNERAL HOME, 783 Bridge Rd., Northampton followed by a Liturgy of Christian burial at 11:30 A.M. at Our Lady of the Hills Church, 173 Main St., Haydenville, MA. Burial will follow in Ringville Cemetery, Worthington.
