Barbara (Black) Edwards

NORTHAMPTON-Barbara (Black) Edwards, 85, formerly of Northampton passed away on December 8, 2024. Barbara was born in Northampton, the daughter of the late Raymond Brooks Black and Doris Catherine (Fischer) Black. She was raised in Northampton and attended local schools. She married the late William Edwards and they spent many years together raising their family. Barbara worked as a Radiology Technician for many years at Smith College. She later worked at State Street Fruit Store where she knew everyone by name. She enjoyed playing bingo and cards, completing puzzles and relaxing to music. Her family was her life. She chose to move to Michigan and then to South Carolina to be near her family. She leaves her daughter Katherine (Michael) Tuthill of Hardeeville, SC and Deborah (Michael Hargrove) Edwards of Atlanta, GA and her two grandchildren, Marc Tuthill of Seattle, WA and Brooke Tuthill of Washington, DC. A committal service for Barbara will be Saturday, April 12, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at Spring Grove Cemetery, Florence. Following the service, Friends and Family are invited to the Bluebonnet Diner at 12:00 P.M.
