SOUTH DEERFIELD - Ann (Langlais) Decker, 76, of Kelleher Drive passed away peacefully on Friday evening, August 30, 2024 after a period of failing health. Ann was born in Northampton, the daughter of Gerard L. and Fern (Gross) Langlais. She was raised and educated in Northampton and was a graduate of the former St. Michael’s High School. Furthering her education, she received her Nursing training from Smith Vocation High School. Ann married Robert J. Decker III, on July 18, 1970. They settled in South Deerfield to raise their family. Ann was an LPN at Cooley Dickinson Hospital for many years. Later in life she worked at JB Transportation, transporting children to school and field trips. Ann enjoyed Girl Scouts as her daughters grew up and she served as Troop leader for many years. She sang in the choir at St. James Church where she was a member. Ann was well known for baking her delicious cakes for birthdays parties. In addition, Ann was a skilled seamstress. She especially enjoyed cross stitch, where each Christmas she would cross stitch a Christmas ornament for her family members. Ann leaves her husband of 54 years, Robert J. Decker III, her children: Theresa E. Decker, West Springfield, MA; Jennifer A. Stiles, Greenfield, MA; Robert J. Decker IV (Brenda), Millers Falls, MA; John G. Decker (Clarissa Leverich), Agawam, MA; Kathleen M. Sadler (Christopher), Erving, MA; and Mary F. Bishop (Benjamin), South Deerfield, MA. Her eight grandchildren: Jeffrey, Matthew, Mackenzie, Mason, Janessa, Annika, Robert V (RJ), and Violet. She also leaves her siblings: Gerald L. Langlais Jr. (Helen) Albuquerque, NM; Donald E. Langlais, (Audrey) Kennebunk, ME; William F. Langlais (Michelle), Marysville TN; and Charles K. Langlais (Carole), Unionville, CT; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter’s partner Tracee McDougal.(Theresa).
